The forklift operator and estimator is responsible for the condition, handling and management of containers.
Their role:
They inspect containers on arrival, identify any repairs required and draw up the relevant technical quotations. They also organise the loading and unloading of containers, oversee their handling within the yard and supply the repair areas as required, whilst adhering to safety guidelines.
Their expertise:
They are proficient in operating heavy forklift trucks, are familiar with yard traffic rules and logistics procedures. Meticulous and responsive, they are able to identify anomalies, use IT tracking tools and communicate effectively with both drivers and internal teams.
